First Mother and Father's Day
Mother's day was the first time I left James! Patrick did a great job watching him for a couple of hours while Mom, Grandma, Aunt Di (who came down to Gainesville) and I had brunch at Mildred's. It was a wonderful break to get out of the house, but I was just as anxious to get back to celebrate my new life-long job title!
Father's Day weekend was a little more eventful. You can just see from the picture how much James grew! We spent Saturday night at Uncle Pat and Lorrie's house with a cookout with the Alderson side of the family. James as able to meet his second cousins and got passed around to a lot of family members who wanted to share some time with him.
On Sunday, we spent the day with the Weaver side of the family and got some great photos in.

Patrick's first Father's Day!
Needless to say, Patrick and I had wonderful days on both ends. We are so thrilled for many more to come. I get the celebration of moms and dads, but truthfully at this point, we feel so honored with the privilege to raise this sweet little boy that some times it seems silly that we were celebrating us. I want to spend every day celebrating him! I'm sure after a few years, we'll be itching for those mother/father's day gifts, but for now, James is quite the gift himself.
